The “G. Berto” literary prize was set up by the commune of Ricadi and Mogliano Veneto which were twinned  on 10 October, 1986.  This prize for Italian narrative, organised jointly by the two communes, is awarded to a writer making his debut. The twelfth prize-giving ceremony will be in the year 2000. It is held on alternate years in Mogliani and in Capo Vaticano and this year it will take place as usual in the park of the writer’s villa on the promontory of Capo Vaticano.
